Independent developer Two Lives Left’s unique and innovative giant space crab simulator, CRABITRON Kinect, was in The Indie Games Room at AVCon in Adelaide, Australia over the weekend. You can watch The Indie Games Room 2015 trailer above where CRABITRON Kinect is briefly shown at 0:43.

Two Lives Left have revealed more details about CRABITRON Kinect, which you can read below, along with a new gameplay preview video:

BE THE CRAB

Crabitron Kinect is a physics-based action puzzler coming to Xbox One and Windows 10.

Play as Crabitron, an adorably mutated giant space crab cast into outer-space, battling the universe to find its way home. With your body as the controller use your hands claws to tear the universe a new blackhole. Gorge on entire planets, solve insidious puzzles, and exchange blows with hordes of adversaries.

MULTIPLAYER

Crabitron offers two different types of multiplayer.

You can jump into the game at any stage simply by picking up an Xbox One controller. This option allows you to control of a UFO to help or hinder Player 1.
or
Merge your body with Player 1 to form Crabitron. Simply stand side by side, link your inside arms around one another and take control of one crab arm each.

ACCESSIBILTY

The control system is fine tuned so players of all ages, height and physical abilities will be able to play.

Crabitron automatically calibrates based on the active player, adjusting for distance from screen, height, arm length and seated position. This allows any player to reach every area of the play space with ease. Also ensuring no over exertion while maintaining the required precision to tackle those tricky puzzles.

MOTION CONTROL

Crabitron is built from the ground up in Unity to take advantage of the Kinect 2.0 and motion controls.
The players body movement is translated directly into the game. Players are able to grab, smash, jump and move side to side freely without thinking about what button to hit next and what sequence to follow.
Players can express themselves freely through movement, rather than follow minimal and rigid pre-defined actions.
