Kinect / vr game list
Is it possible to split or rearrange the list so it is easier to see which are for kinect and vr?

I did send Clemens an email about that a while ago actually. I'll ask him about it again later today.

Information RE: Kinect / vr game list
Just letting you know that I tried a quick fix by trying to add Kinect 1, Kinect 2 & WMR VR to the titles but for some reason the titles in the Games List won't change. So hopefully Clemens will be able to split them into the different formats sometime soon. If you look closely you'll see that in the Games List the pics of all the VR games have a blue banner at the top with Windows Mixed Reality on, so that should help to tell those apart from the others.

RE: Kinect / vr game list
yeah I suppose. So the list of 282 games is for Kinect 1 , 2 & VR?

I'm trying to see all the Kinect 2 games and see if its worth spending any money on it, looks like theres not even a dozen games for it

Yeah. At the moment it's just all the games for all the platforms in 1 list. I'm hoping Clemens will get around to splitting the list into platforms. I just checked and there are 30 full Kinect 2 games (so not just games with some Kinect features) released for Xbox One not including all the Just Dance games, Xbox Fitness which has been discontinued and Infinity Blade Saga which still hasn't been released outside of China for some reason. Plus there are numerous Kinect Bundles from Virtual Air Guitar Company that have 2, 3 or 4 of their games in. They also have Boom Ball 3 coming out this month and Kinect Funhouse releasing sometime next year.

Air Guitar Warrior For Kinect

Angry Birds Star Wars

Baila Latino

Beatsplosion! For Kinect

Blue Estate

Boom Ball For Kinect

Boom Ball 2 For Kinect

Commander Cherry's Puzzled Journey (Hybrid game. Uses Kinect 2 + joypad.)

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die

Dance Central Spotlight

Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved

Disneyland Adventures

Draw A Stickman: EPIC (Hybrid game. Uses Kinect 2 + joypad.)

FRU (Hybrid game. Uses Kinect 2 + joypad.)

Fighter Within

Fruit Ninja Kinect 2

Just Dance games

Just Sing

Kinect Sports Rivals

Kung Fu For Kinect

Peggle 2

Perfect Woman

Q

Rabbids Invasion: The Interactive TV Show

Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure

Shape Up

Slice Zombies For Kinect

Squid Hero For Kinect

Voice Commander

Xbox Fitness (but it's discontinued)

Zazen

Zumba Fitness World Party

RE: Kinect / vr game list
Nice one cheers for that. Looks like there are a few kinect 1 games that work with v2?
Though the rediculous cost and limited availability of the adapter not helping

None of the Kinect 1 games work with Kinect 2 unfortunately. There are just some games that were released on both along with some remasters like Disneyland Adventures (which actually has worse tracking than the original! I hope they fix it) and Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure. I'm having huge problems getting hold of the Kinect Adapter too! Angry I haven't been able to set up my Xbox One X yet since I haven't been able to get an adapter. Even worse is that my original Xbox One isn't working properly. Sad So all I've been able to play recently is VR games on PC. Not that playing VR games is bad though, lol! Hopefully Microsoft will announce Xbox VR soon.

RE: Kinect / vr game list
Oh well guess i wont be getting kinect 2 at the prices now it looks like its everyone who didnt like paying extra for it are trying to recoup that money back selling the cable.
Wonder how long vr/mr will last is it. Tbh im suprised its lasted as long as it has. So it would seem most would prefer to have isolating headsets rather than active group enterainment.

Microsoft have been absolutely disgraceful to their customers. Apart from how they've treated Kinect in general, which also affects developers, they should have at least made sure they had plenty of Kinect Adapters available for people upgrading to Xbox One X. Even better they should be free, especially to those of us who bought the Day One Edition of Xbox One and Project Scorpio Edition of Xbox One X! Obviously ultimately they should have never removed the Kinect port in the first place. It's like they just did that out of spite to hurt their own customers and developers!

I'm pretty sure VR is here to stay for the foreseeable future and is going to be huge. Luckily we don't have to rely on Microsoft supporting it since not only were there other companies making VR technology before them but there were already hundreds of VR games available (well, including Early Access) before they released Windows Mixed Reality VR with their partners and there's a universal VR standard with OpenVR which Windows MR supports and how it gets SteamVR support so SteamVR games just need a little tweaking to work with Windows MR perfectly (other than any that aren't physically possible to work perfectly, like Sports Bar VR which currently requires some creative workarounds to play with Windows MR) if they don't just work perfectly anyway, which apparently many do. So even if Microsoft snubbed Windows MR HMDs like they have the Kinects there would always be plenty of games, experiences and apps for them regardless.

There are a small percentage of people who can't use VR though (as in physically due to extreme VR sickness, not just those who can't afford it), so if those people still wanted to play the same sort of motion-controlled games then Microsoft could have catered to them with Kinect. It just makes no sense for Microsoft to squander and snub Kinect like they have. VR already has most of the games I was expecting Kinect 1 and definitely Kinect 2 to have. For example look at Knockout League, that could easily have been a Kinect game. And a lot of the room-escape games and wave shooters could have also been adapted for TVs using Kinect. (And proper FPS games could work with Kinect like my example from years ago.)

RE: Kinect / vr game list
Oh well no plans to sell the 360slim so will continue to use that. Im more ****** off with the public and the bandwagon hate, the developers were naturally scared of the hate, why would they waste their time. So many posibilities wasted. I guess i have to let it go, tbh fru looked the only really interesting one out there.
Ive got gear vr v1 but I dare say ill get something on pc or xbox1x down the line when things have settled as there are a number of headsets and im sure games exclusive to certain ones.

Yeah, the bandwagon started by corrupt "journalists" who can't even play games properly. Lol! Despite there being not many Kinect 2 games they are pretty good though. The only one that has disappointed me so far out of all the ones I've got was Q. I recommended just getting the mobile version. Also Beatsplosion, but that was just because I was disappointed I couldn't really play it due to my illness, it was just impossible for me.

Hopefully Microsoft will announce Xbox VR soon. They'd be crazy not to. Then again they've been pretty crazy with most of their decisions this gen so you never know! Confused I wish Phil Spencer had been fired, or at least demoted, not promoted. He's been awful for Xbox. Sad

There only seems to be JustDance and BoomBall developers making anything though I'm guessing cablegate will pretty much stop them making any more

COSMONAUT is also hopefully still coming. The delay is because they switched from Unity to Unreal Engine 4. I was going to post an article about that ages ago but they haven't released any media with the new graphics so I thought it would be too boring an article without any. Lol! There are some other games in development too and others that have gone MIA, but another issue despite the cable problem is that Microsoft's Creators Programme doesn't properly support Kinect 2, for example it doesn't currently support skeleton tracking which is obviously a major part of Kinect. Some developers haven't been able to get into the ID@Xbox Programme but have been able to get into the Creators Programme but then can't really use Kinect. I'm just hoping that Microsoft will eventually let them use Kinect properly. Although now that they've discontinued Kinect 2 it makes me worried they won't bother. Sad
