kinect v2 depthframe - why 16bit
hi

i'm a bit confuded and need some help - if the kinect can handle up to 4.5m and the depthframe data is u16bit, what are the other bits for - 2^13 is around 8m which is the max depth the kinect can 'see', that leaves 3 bits for what? spare? padding? other data?
