PopGap Games have released the above new commentated video for the Kinect 2 supported (although currently only confirmed for Boss Mode) 3rd-person shooter incarnation of their popular Plants Vs Zombies franchise, called Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, that features the first look at the newly announced Gardens & Graveyards mode which PopCap describes below:

24 player Gardens & Graveyards is a remix of Rush and Conquest gameplay modes from Battlefield but with a PvZ spin. Zombies are on the attack and must take the plant bases using team work and summoned zombie hordes before getting to a final battle with a rush like objective that changes on each map. Plants will be able to setup tower defense style defensive plants at each base to help them hold off the zombie onslaught. Zombies win if they take all the objectives, plants win if the timer runs out before the zombies can take over the map.

The map we are showcasing is Driftwood Shores. Check out the fly through at the beginning of the video to get an indication of scale and variety that you will find in each of the Gardens & Graveyard maps.

Windows Phone Central have also posted a video preview & interview which you can watch below and despite their name it is actually the Xbox One version:

Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will be released on February 18th (US) 20th (Europe) & 21st (UK) on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One but currently only the Xbox One version is confirmed to have Kinect support.
