Your Shape: Fitness Evolved – Personal trainer mode

This mode of Your Shape: Fitness Evolved is probably better than going to the gym. You have your personal trainer on the screen who walks you through various workouts and provides guidance when and if you need it. The workouts are personalized and take into consideration your age, weight and level of activity you normally do. This factors also impact the difficulty of your workout.

I found the accuracy and responsiveness of the Kinect to be absolutely amazing.

Your Shape Fitness Evolved – Fitness Class

Fitness Class allows for two other modes: yoga training and cardio boxing.

Yoga training is similar to the Personal trainer we previously discussed. The virtual trainer is on the screen and you must mirror his movements. The game has a pleasant background music and a relaxing setting.

Cardio Boxing on the other hand, was very active and focused on punches and kicks in rhythm.

The Cardio Boxing mode turned out to be very enjoyable and the easiest way to raise your heart rate.

Your Shape Fitness Evolved – Gym Activities

Gym activities is a collection of different games with competitive focus. You must score as many points as you can and rack up combos.

The most amazing part of it all was that I was actually having fun while working out.

Your Shape Fitness Evolved – Stack’em Up

Stack’em Up focuses on balance and mental focus. In the game you appear holding a balancing board, and you need to do is catch falling blocks and drop them into slots as they open. The number of points you get depend on how many blocks you manage to stack before you drop them.

Are you convinced now that Your Shape: Fitness Evolved will challenge you enough to keep on going?

Don’t forget to check the pricing and availability of Kinect bundle, and this Kinect game.
