Fruit Ninja Kinect was the first Xbox Live Arcade title that was made entirely for Kinect and I when I reviewed the game I absolutely loved it (check out my review here). You might think that Kinect is still a very ‘niche’ peripheral and that a game like this would only appeal to a very select group of people. Just released numbers indicate this is far from true!

Fruit Ninja Kinect is massive!

Halfbrick just announced that Fruit Ninja Kinect sold pretty good. In fact the game sold 500.000 copies! Those are some big numbers for a small Kinect game and I think this shows that Kinect is far from a niche thing anymore.

Now let’s hope that these numbers encourage Halfbrick to make another Kinect game!
