Better With Kinect

That it’s not what I was hoping for. I can’t speak for everyone else, but I think by now most of us know that just because a cover says “Better with Kinect”, doesn’t mean that is necessarily the case especially with EA Games. Thankfully, EA Sports is a separate division of EA so hopefully full Kinect support is really integrated by the release, but as for now, what was said and what is done, time will only tell the tale. I’m hoping it doesn’t turn lame and we only get to use Kinect to change clubs. Any thoughts on this?

It’s “Better With Kinect” rather than “Kinect Required” because there’s no way EA would drop the joypad option from one of their major franchises. It’s nothing to worry about, the first sentence says it offers a controller-free body-tracking sports simulation so obviously you’re not just using Kinect to change clubs, lol! Plus there was that photo of Tiger Woods himself playing it using Kinect.

Yeah, I don’t see how anyone could possible expect EA to drop controller support for one of their biggest franchises. The backlash would be HUGE. What gives me hope is that they didn’t rush Kinect support into their sports titles last year, which they could have, and they said they were waiting for the right ideas before implementing it. So hopefully it’ll be worthwhile. Kinect Sports 2 has given me faith in Kinect’s ability to play a Golf game. It was better than I expected.

True, I actually didn’t consider them dropping support, I just meant it as let’s hope Kinect is fully supported, sorry for the confusion

I actually hope they utilized the Kinect Sports style but take it even farther..like adding more detail with the swing like adding hook and slice fade and draw and things like that…i think they should be able to do that with the time they have had to work on it

Some day will get another core game with the “better with Kinect” bar where you can play the entire campaign with Kinect only and it’ll be great. So far we have Child of Eden and that’s it, right?

Blackwater is another. You can actually play it with the joypad but it’s supposed to be much better playing it with Kinect as that’s how it’s supposed to be played.
