Only days after 123KINECT spotted this game, Ubisoft has announced today the upcoming release of Self Defense Training Camp that will be available exclusively on Kinect. A trailer was also released (as you can see above).
Self Defense Training Camp helps players develop the self-confidence they need to react more efficiently when facing potentially difficult situations, and allows players to discover ways of protecting themselves from various forms of physical assault.
My Self Defense Coach combines fitness workouts and self-defense drills into four primary categories critical to self-defense: technique, stamina, composure and reflexes. The Kinect’s innovative tracking technology provides players with immediate feedback on their movements, helping to make the basics of self-defense easy regardless of the player’s skill level. These self-defense techniques are taught by an experienced, real-life self-defense coach.
Players will get in shape as they learn new skills with fitness routines inspired by both kickboxing and martial arts. They will also improve their reflexes with a collection of fun mini-games.
To help players sharpen their minds as well as their bodies, Self Defense Training Camp also incorporates meditative forms of exercise; a collection of soothing Tai Chi exercises instruct users on how to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
My Self Defense Coach is set to release in the UK on November 11, 2011. I believe this title will be a UK exclusive as well for the time being, we weren’t able to find any information regarding a US release however the video reveals a November 8th release date which would coincide with a US release day as well as the different title, Self Defense Training Camp, so it is possible it will be available in both countries. Do you think this is a target for women to purchase Kinect or can men benefit from this as well?
