As was the case with DOOM VFR, I’m once again glad to report that despite only being officially announced for the HTC Vive the highly anticipated VR version of Bethesda Softwork’s epic post-apocalyptic FPS RPG, Fallout 4 VR, does also work with Windows Mixed Reality VR HMDs via SteamVR! You can watch a trailer for Fallout 4 VR above.

This news was confirmed by the VR YouTuber VoodooDE and you can watch his video (in German) of Fallout 4 VR played using the Samsung Odyssey below:

You can read more about Fallout 4 VR in the following description and watch a brief tutorial video from Bethesda below that:

Fallout 4, the legendary post-apocalyptic adventure from Bethesda Game Studios and winner of more than 200 ‘Best Of’ awards, including the DICE and BAFTA Game of the Year, finally comes in its entirety to VR. Fallout 4 VR includes the complete core game with all-new combat, crafting, and building systems fully reimagined for virtual reality. The freedom of exploring the wasteland comes alive like never before.

Be whoever with the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. character system. From a Power Armored soldier to the charismatic smooth talker, players can choose from hundreds of Perks and develop their own playstyle.

An all-new next generation graphics and lighting engine brings to life the world of Fallout like never before. From the blasted forests of the Commonwealth to the ruins of Boston, every location is packed with dynamic detail.

Intense combat can also be slowed down with the new dynamic Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (V.A.T.S) that lets you choose your attacks in real time and enjoy carnage.

Collect, upgrade, and build thousands of items in the most advanced crafting system ever. Weapons, armor, chemicals, and food are just the beginning – players can even build and manage entire settlements.

Fallout 4 VR is available to download now on Steam priced at £39.99 (UK) / €59.99 (EU) / $59.99 (US). But just like with DOOM VFR I’ll warn you that it also requires quite a powerful PC to run it.
