I have an XBox 360 4GB Kinect bundle with the proprietary cable. I'd like to extend the cable to about 30 feet total, and I've read that to do this, I need to get the Kinect power adapter and then use active USB cables. Can anyone confirm that this works?

lots of guys can confirm this. check out the kinect projector threads at avsforum if you need further proof.

Thanks! I was pretty sure it would work, but I'm a complete noob, so I didn't want to buy a bunch of stuff and fail.
