Epic's Cliff Bleszinski has confirmed that Gears Of War: Exile, which was rumoured to be a PS3 version of Gears Of War, has been cancelled. Clearly Epic feel that the PS3 just can't handle a Gears Of War game even if it was on-rails which is what Gears Of War: Exile was assumed to be... This thread is obviously complete nonsense as I have no idea what platform Gears Of War: Exile was going to be released on nor what sort of game it was supposed to be. Yet many other websites have written their articles about Gears Of War: Exile being cancelled (and we don't even know when it was cancelled, it seems that Gamespot just happened to ask Cliff Bleszinski about it and he said it was cancelled without saying when or why) in this way, except replacing PS3 with Kinect and many of them just using it as an excuse to bash Kinect again. This total lack of objectivity and finding any excuse to bash Kinect really makes me sick. I don't mind Kinect being mentioned in articles about Gears Of War: Exile being cancelled but it should just be written like this:

I think that would be a pretty fair and accurate article wouldn't you?

Not all the websites bashed Kinect in their articles but many still had misleading headines claiming it was definitely a Kinect game, just check them out:

No, Geeky Gadgets, Cliff Bleszinsky never mentioned Kinect when talking about Gears Of War: Exile. In fact let's look at some quotes from him from last year where he does mention Kinect shall we?:

So according to that he actually loves Kinect and if he makes a Kinect game he would make a dedicated game and "really knock it out of the park".

If Gears Of War: Exile really was a Kinect game, as I hoped it would be, then obviously it's a shame. But even if it was we have no idea why it was cancelled let alone that there was any issue with Kinect.
