Everyone should remember the arcade game way ahead of its time, Time Traveler. The latest Kinect hack by MIT has implemented hologram technology. This could be a milestone for future entertainment, such as having Windows Surface display the Super Bowl on your coffee table. See the video below for a brief explanation: Hologram in Action! MIT has been able to reproduce a holographic image (wiki) measuring 15 frames per second. They state with faster software, they will be able to reach 30 frames per second, however this doesn't limit this technology to only Kinect. If a manufacturer produces a Kinect-like device with higher hardware capabilities, we could be very well on our way to holographic entertainment, whether it's TV/Music/Movies, the future is not far away. What are your thoughts on this latest achievement? Do you think Kinect hacks like these will change the future of entertainment? Post a comment below to let us know!
