Kinect Weight Loss Challenge

![]() I bought Kinect yesteday and have decided to see how much weight i can lose using Your Shape Fitness Evolved.
I will also be eating more fruit and generally eating a bit healthier. Every day i will post how long i have exercised for, which exercises i did, and how many calories i burned. Once a week i will post my weight and how much weight i have lost or gained. At the moment i am 201lbs/91kg... I am aiming at getting to around 133lbs/60kg ![]() |

so i started out with a few games to warm up:
light race (easy/1 min) - 10 calories loop-a-hoop (easy/40 secs) - 7 calories virtual smash (easy/1 min) - 10 calories i then went on to do a personal training session lasting 7 mins and consisting of dodges and knee lifts - 17 calories after my training session i went back to do some more games as i had forgotten to check how long they lasted: light race (easy/1 min) - 10 calories loop-a-hoop (easy/40 secs) - 7 calories virtual smash (easy/1 min) - 10 calories next i went on to do some cardio boxing: Silver Part 3 (4 mins) - 20 calories Bronze Entire Class (10 mins) - 25 calories after this i had a few hours break, then proceded to do some more cardio boxing and games: Silver Entire Class (12 mins) - 42 calories Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 10 calories Light Race (medium/1 min) - 9 calories Gold Part 1 (4 mins) - 32 calories Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 10 calories After this i did a game of Stack-Em-Up (easy/2 mins) to cool down - 1 calorie If i decide to do any more exercises today i will add them in. Total calories burned today: 220 Total time spent exercising: 47 mins 20 seconds |

Cool, do you have a target weight? Looking forward to seeing progress. Drinking water instead of other things is a great way to lose weight as well.

Right... Day 2: I have added a target weight to my first post.
My legs are acheing quite a bit from the squating in the boxing, but i was expecting that. I'll put on what exercises i've done later today, and i will update it if i do any more after. ![]() |

Cool Emiingham. Keep at it. Personally, I have been playing 1 20 minute fitness workout. I still have 8 days left in th program and will see it through. It's only 109 calories each time I play but I usually do a few rounds of virtual smash and another minigame. I'm probably at 150 avg calories burned per day.
Even though I haven't done them in a few days, I agree with you that the cardio boxing is the most fun- especially when doing the jab, cross, hook, uppercut combo's. Makes you feel like a boxer ![]() |

I didn't bother with any games to warm up, i just started with the boxing and did a game of virtual smash in between to cool down: Cardio Boxing: Gold Entire Class (12 mins) - 71 calories Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 10 calories Cardio Boxing: Silver Entire Class (12 mins) - 41 calories Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 11 calories Cardio Boxing: Bronze Entire Class (10 mins) - 26 calories Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 10 calories Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 11 calories I am having a couple of hours break, then i will get some personal training done ![]() After my break i did a few games in between some personal training sessions: Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 11 calories Personal Training Session lasting 7 mins and consisting of tap back, knee front, and squat punch - 29 calories Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 11 calories Personal Training Session lasting 10 mins and consisting of knee lunge combo, double step touch and jumping jacks - 45 calories After this i did some more cardio boxing with games in between to cool down: Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 11 calories Cardio Boxing: Bronze Entire Class (10 mins) - 33 calories Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 11 calories Cardio Boxing: Silver Entire Class (12 mins) - 50 calories Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 11 calories Cardio Boxing: Gold Entire Class (12 mins) - 75 calories Virtual Smash (easy/1 min) - 11 calories Total calories burned today: 478 Total time spent exercising: 1 hour 35 mins |

Day 6: i haven't exercised today or yesterday as i have had to visit a family member in hospital. i've still being eating healthy though..
i'll see how things go, and i'll start exercising again if not tomorrow then Tuesday. Tuesday i will be weighing myself and seeing how much weight i have lost ![]() |

My weight last tuesday was 201lbs/91kg It is now 196lbs/89kg So this week i have lost 5lbs, which is good as i didn't do any exercise the last few days ![]() Later i will put on what exercise i have done today, and will update it if i do any after ![]() |

Wow, congratulations. You had a strong start and slowed down a bit. If you want to push yourself harder, try to exercise everyday or every second day. If you continue at this pace, it will take you 13-14 weeks to reach your goal, that's pretty good. Can't wait for you to reach your goal.
