Minecraft - Or Not?

Minecraft - Or Not?
You have to admit, Minecraft is awesome. I've been playing the game for a while now and I almost got addicted. To then see fortress craft come out as an Indie Game I got pretty excited! But, I didn't have half as much as fun as I did on Minecraft. You cant craft or mine, you can only build stuff, no furniture or ladders or minecarts, It got boring to quickly.

Then came E3 and to see Minecraft for Xbox be announced live. I was amazed.

But for Kinect? This gives me so many questions to ask.

How will it work?
Retail or XBLA?
Will it be worth the money? (My guess is that it will be around £20.)
It is being developed by the same people who ported Oblivion to PS3 (It was crap on the PS3...)
Will you have to wave your arms in the air to play? (I prefer to play Minecraft sitting down.)

Those are just a few of the questions I need to ask.
But the big question...

Should I just stick to the PC version?

RE: Minecraft - Or Not?
Minecraft will be playable to attendees of MineCon...

http://mojang.com/2011/10/24/minecon-off...-xbox-360/

"We are thrilled to announce that MineCon attendees will have the opportunity to play Minecraft on Xbox 360 months before the public release!"

For those that are curious, you do not need Kinect to play Minecraft.

http://nexus404.com/Blog/2011/06/07/e3-2...-360-wont/

"To start things off, even though Kinect integration was a major bullet point during the announcement yesterday, Persson says that it won’t be required to play, though did point out that “with the power of Kinect you will feel closer to your game than evar before and it also saves kittens,” in all caps. He also said that Minecraft on Xbox 360 isn’t a straight port of the PC version, so 360 owners don’t have to worry about dropping money on something that just turns out to be a hasty port.

Information RE: Minecraft - Or Not?
Minecraft is going to be released on XBLA in Spring 2012 and it's confirmed as Xbox 360 exclusive. (Console exclusive, as obviously it's on PC too.)

I thought at E3 they said it was coming out this year?

RE: Minecraft - Or Not?
Is it just me or are the block graphics just not appealing...or do the blocks have something to do with the minecraft world (I never played it)

RE: Minecraft - Or Not?
the only way im getting mine craft is if there are public pk servers.

if its everyone gets a world and you visit friends worlds then i am not getting it. that would not be the real minecraft.

on pc you go on public servers that people buy and my favorite is survival PK mode on. so you can wander around the world possibly meeting other players or stumbling on a persons house. possibly finding their chest with all the minerals and weapons they have created.

also burning peoples houses if its made of wood. Smile
