I thought I'd make a thread for non-Kinect (or Kinect optional like Minecraft) Xbox 360 exclusives already released or due to be released this year since some people still seem to believe that there are hardly any non-Kinect Xbox 360 exclusives out this year. While it's true that not many disc-based games have been announced for this year (yet) part of the reason is that Microsoft is pushing digital distribution and many of this year's XBLA games are big games that would normally be released on a disc like Alan Wake's American Nightmare.

I'll put (Looks like a big game.) next to XBLA games that either have been announced to have as much content as a disc-based game or just look like disc-based games if there's not much info about the content and I'll post standard XBLA titles in orange in normal sized font, big XBLA titles in light green in a bigger font and disc-based titles in dark green in the biggest font. I'll put (Console exclusive.) next to games that are/will be available on the PC too but the only console they are/will be available for is the Xbox 360. (Bear in mind that sometimes "console exclusives" can become multiplatform later on, like if they happen to be just timed exclusives.) Also I'll include a link to a trailer (if there is one, or video footage if there is any) and a link to more info for each of the games. The release dates are in UK format (day/month/year).

2 more Xbox 360 exclusives to add to the list! The first is a Darkstalkers-style 1-on-1 beat-em-up called Phantom Breaker that's being released on disc on April 10th:

Added another one to the list. Charlie Murder by Ska Studios (who make The Dishwasher games), which like the original Dishwasher originally started off as an Indie Game. (As in planned for the "Indie Games" section, it's still an "indie game" as in made by an independent developer.) I don't know what sort of game it is as they've only released a logo so far but they say it's going to be shown at PAX East.

The next game is Miner Wars 2081 and is another XBLA game that looks like a big game and is due out Q3-Q4 2012. There's also Miner Wars MMO due out later but I don't know if that will be available for the Xbox 360 or just PC only. The game appears to be a "spiritual successor" to the Descent games with former Descent developers working on it! Here's more info from the official website:

Miner Wars 2081 features both competitive and co-operative multiplayer. Players are able to complete the entire story campaign with multiple online allies. Miner Wars MMO will be released about 6 months after MW 2081 and will be classical massive multiplayer online game for one-time buy price (no subscription fees).


Background

The game is set in the year 2081, 10 years after the destruction of Earth.

Being so early in space technology and colonization, people are ill-equipped to survive in space indefinitely. Mining colonies previously established in space allowed some few hundreds of thousands people to live in space and continue the species.

Development

Development on the Miner Wars franchise began in 2002 as a side project by Marek Rosa, the current Founder and CEO of Keen Software House.

In 2009 the project began full-time work and a production team was formed. Originally planned for release in 2011, a trailer was released in 2010 that caught the eye of Audio Director Dan Wentz, sound artist for games such as Saints Row, FreeSpace, and Red Faction. The production team continued to grow in 2010, and there are currently around 30 core developers both working internally at their headquarters in Prague, and externally in America.

The website has undergone several changes, and collects regular feedback from gamers through the forums. In October of 2010, the pre-alpha version of Miner Wars 2081 was released to the public, with a free demo version and discounted pre-order version.

Miner Wars 2081 is expected for publish in Q3-Q4 2012.

Miner Wars MMO is scheduled for Q4 2012.

• Epic-Scale Battles – The VRAGE™ engine allows up to 300 ships to be displayed in a sector at once.
  The variety of weapons, 300 ships and the size of the sectors allow for some colossal battles.
  

• Looting – Any destructible ship in the game can be looted by another player.
  Looting is a vital part of the Miner Wars experience. When a player decides how they will pursue another, by disabling the engines rather than simply obliterating them with missiles will result in a higher proportion of the items and equipment items in their inventory.
  It’s important to always be careful of what you carry in your inventory, lest you have it stolen or lost.
  

• Factions - In the Miner Wars Universe there will be dozens of factions.
  Each faction will have different approaches and motivations throughout the story-world—from miners to fanatics, privateers to nations. In Miner Wars 2081 the player is a part of the EAC – Euro-American Confederation. But there are other factions too: Fourth Reich, OmniCorp, People’s Republic of China, Arab Islamic Empire and more.
  In the up-and-coming Miner Wars MMO, players will be able to choose to join a faction, or form a corporation, complete with shares and leaders.
  

• Combination of Single and Multiplayer Elements – If a mission is too difficult, you can simply hire a friend to help you on your mission or quest!

This 4th game is another one that has already been released on the PC but is also due out on XBLA. Serious Sam Double D is a Contra-style 2D platform-shoot-em-up. Here's more info about it:

The final game I came across is Capsized which is yet another game that's already out on the PC and was due out on XBLA last December but that obviously didn't happen so hopefully it's due out soon. A teaser trailer for The Incredible Adventures Of Van Helsing has been released. No gameplay in it unfortunately but the music is cool and slightly creepy.

The Incredible Adventures Of Van Helsing E3 interview and first game footage! (Probably the PC version footage as there's a mouse cursor on screen.) It looks similar to the Xbox 1 game Hunter: The Reckoning which was awesome! This appears to have a lot more RPG elements though. (And obviously even better graphics, although Hunter: The Reckoning had great graphics on the Xbox too.)

Kung Fu Strike: The Warrior's Rise has been delayed AGAIN! Although that was obvious when May came and went without any sign of it, lol! Now it's due out on September 5th. It's also now just a console exclusive as there's a PC version being released too, in fact it's being released on the PC next week!
