kinect deals
at another forum I visit, there's an active deals thread.

so I think this site should have one as well so that people can get some games for great prices...

so I'll start it off...

at Newegg:

The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout for $20
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6874169058

Joyride $20
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6874103201

Fantastic Pets $20
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...tic%20pets

I understand that this site is global. But for those in the US that would like these games, go get them! Big Grin

I saw that. does that mean we have to wait until September for fruit ninja? I was hoping to pick it up in August. I guess a month won't matter but darn it, I want to slice some fruit! Big Grin

And this deal messes up the Summer of Arcade deal where you buy all the titles and get 1 free title. Fruit Ninja is one of the titles you have to buy to qualify for the free title. So for those people, it's a messed up situation.

RE: kinect deals
Tigerdirect has a refurbished Kinect with Kinect Adventures for $99. for some people, this is more palatable than the more common $150 Kinect with various gift cards at places like Target (Target is offering a new Kinect for $150 which comes with a $25 gift card).

Information RE: kinect deals
There are some good deals at Play.com at the moment. They include Child Of Eden for £24.99 (I think it still includes a T-shirt even though it says pre-order bonus):

http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/156...oduct.html

Sonic Free Riders for £17.99:

http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/155...oduct.html

And Michael Jackson: The Experience for £14.99!!!:

http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/-/4669...oduct.html

As well as some Kinect & regular Xbox 360 games in a 2 for £20 sale:

http://www.play.com/Search.html?searchst...{10049}%2b

Plus you can pre-order The Gunstringer for £24.99 and since it includes Fruit Ninja for free, which on its own costs 800 points which works out at about £6, it means you're getting The Gunstringer for about £19! Big Grin

No, Fruit Ninja Kinect comes out on August 10th for 800 Microsoft Points I believe. If you buy GunStringer you get Fruit Ninja Kinect for free. You would just have to wait for it to get it for free, or if you are like me on August 10th you are going to buy it when it becomes available and not wait to get it for free in September.

Sorry for not being clear, but you just repeated what I said. You have to wait until September to play Fruit Ninja if you are intending to get it as part of the Gunstringer combo because The Gunstringer doesn't come out until September. If you buy Fruit Ninja in August and The Gunstringer in September, you're basically buying Fruit Ninja twice.

The only people buying Fruit Ninja in August are people who never intend on buying The Gunstringer. So everyone is basically waiting until September.

And this deal messes up the people who are intending to do the Summer of Arcade deal which says you have to buy all the titles (of which Fruit Ninja is part of) in order to get the free title. Either lose the Summer of Arcade deal or essentially pay for Fruit Ninja twice.

Now, Fruit Ninja is a no-brainer in August if you have no interest in The Gunstringer but a lot of people do have interest.

RE: kinect deals
There's a Kinect deal right now on a site called oBaz.com. $100 for a Kinect Sensor, and it also includes the Kinect Adventure game. Looks like you have to click "Redeem for Free" and oBaz will email instructions to purchase. Check it out: http://www.obaz.com/groups/584/deals/88

for a new Kinect, that sounds like a great price (assuming shipping is not outrageous).

the only possible issue is that Microsoft is releasing a Kinect bundle that includes Child of Eden for free. And Child of Eden runs from $30-50. So if you're on a budget and have no interest in CoE, then this deal is great. but if you like value versus bottom line cost, the new Kinect bundle sounds tempting for those that don't have a Kinect yet.

Child of Eden is now on sale for $20 at Best Buy. It was $10 for a shortwhile but sold out. Now it's $20 on sale.
