Judging by the awesome article that 123kinect put up, Im thinking this game will be Gears of War 3 with Kinect functionality and a hybrid game. What do you think, although rumored and not confirmed, I think this game will be coming out. Discuss on the best Kinect site out there 123kinect!!

The lead designer on GoW3 already said 3 won't have Kinect functionality, so I'm assuming Exile will probably be a standalone Kinect title. It may even be themed on the Gears game thrashball.

Whatever Gears OF War: Exile was it has unfortunately been cancelled. Of course you've got all the stupid comments from people rejoicing that a Kinect game has been cancelled even though Cliff Bleszinski gave absolutely no information about the game whatsoever beyond confirming its name so it could have been a Facebook game for all we know, we were just hoping it was a Kinect game and there were "rumours". In fact as far as we know there still could be a Gears Of War Kinect game in the works and it's not Gears Of War: Exile, lol!

I'm resurrecting this thread because a new Gears Of War has just been 100% officially confirmed! There's no news whether it's a Kinect/"Better With Kinect" game or not but I'm now wondering whether Gears Of War: Exile really was a Kinect game but wasn't really cancelled, maybe Epic just said it was to throw people off at the time so they could surprise us at E3?

any Kinect type game with Gears of War was canceled a long time ago and confirmed in Cliffy interviews.

this is a regular Gears of War title and from the hints (including the cover art), it all leads to a prequel series.

No it wasn't. All Cliff ever confirmed was that Kinect support wasn't in GOW3 and recently he said GOW: Exile was cancelled when asked about it. He never said that GOW: Exile was a Kinect game and never said that a GOW Kinect game (or any other Kinect game made by Epic) was cancelled. In fact I seem to remember him saying that he wanted to make a Kinect game and if he did it would be a proper full-on Kinect game not a game with Kinect controls tacked on. I just looked and I found the quote in a Eurogamer article:

Here's the exact quote from Cliff when asked about Gears Of War: Exile last month, this is literally all he said and he never even mentioned Kinect:

what he said what that IF HE WERE TO MAKE A KINECT GAME, he would go all out and make it a kinect game. that's a far cry from "he wants to make a full body kinect game". it just says that if he was interested in doing so, he would do it as a full experience rather than a half-#*$ experience.

Yeah, and at no point has he ever said that any Kinect games were cancelled. Just in those quotes I posted he says he's a fan of Kinect and has about 8 million Kinect ideas (probably exaggerated I know, lol!) and for a developer to say that at the very least strongly suggests that he wants to make Kinect games.

I'm guessing there was a leak that basically forced them to reveal it before Monday. Microsoft probably won't be happy though! So now we know this is Gears Of War: Judgment not Exile, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Kinect support.

I know this isn't a Kinect game (or at least Kinect support hasn't been announced, but who knows?) but I'll post the full E3 trailer for Gears Of War: Judgement here anyway as it's awesome!
