and the Kinect news seems to keep pouring in...

since there's no dedicated Gunstringer thread, maybe it's time to have one since there's been a number of previews released today. sounding mighty good. now that the game mechanics have been shown, it's much easier to be excited. apparently, this game actually follows the Rez mechanics (paint the targets and then fire your weapon). it even has some cover mechanism a la Gears of War.

I see what they mean by a cross between Rez and Crash Bandicoot, it really is, lol! And a bit of Gears Of War like dirtyvu said. I can't wait to see the side-scrolling platforming parts too. I'm guessing they'll show those at PAX East.

Could The Gunstringer include beat-em-up levels? Twisted Pixel sound like they're implying it by bolding in capitals KNOCKOUT PUNCH and showing a pic of the main character punching a woman! (Who hopefully is an enemy otherwise it'll be newsworthy for all the wrong reasons, lol!) Check it out:

anyone worried that this is now a full retail title? that means they're going to have to either make a ton more levels or they'll get killed like EA did when they tried to sell NBA Jam as a full retail title.

They said they're adding more levels and they've also got at least 1 extra feature, beat-em-up sections. Also we don't know how much it will cost yet, it could be a budget game.

Why won't it work at retail? Retail games get more advertising (well, some do and this has already been confirmed as getting proper retail marketing from Microsoft) so it's likely to sell a lot more at retail, especially since retail games generally sell a lot better than XBLA games anyway.
