A Halo Wars sequel could work the Xbox Kinect Sensor, creative director Frank O'Conner from Microsoft's internal Halo studio 343 Industries told CVG in an interview. Unfortunately however, the studio is not working on a follow-up to Halo Wars at this time though. Our first response: Well boys, get to work and include Kinect, as we know it can be done.

Halo Wars a huge success
Despite not having any concrete plans now, Halo Wars' first title was a huge success.
The funny thing about Halo Wars is it actually beat our sales forecasts, so it was a bigger success than we expected. It was a big critical success and it's still the number one selling RTS on consoles this generation.
And then continues:
In that regard it was a huge success but is the will to do a sequel there? Who knows. We could do something that works on Kinect, for example. There's no will against it but we're not working on it right now.
Luckily, he seems to have brought Kinect up himself so this means that the creative director is thinking in the right - KINECT - direction.
Halo Universe
Luckily, Microsoft is willing to take some risks with the Halo universe, according to O'Conner as they have done "a lot of very cool experiments [...] with varying levels of success". Halo Wars then being a "successful example". This could mean that an experiment with Kinect would then be given serious thought, and they might even release it if the quality is there
The appetite for this stuff is huge as long as the quality is there - and that's the way that we should approach it.
